Next Event: Friday 22nd September, London, 10.30 – 3.30pm (with more time for networking)
On 11th May Intramezzo welcomed 42 executives from 32 companies to our first Spinout & Talent Fair designed to ‘create value’ by introducing: Ventures and spinout companies, sources of finance and senior executive talent to facilitate delivery. This summary of the event has been provided to all those who completed the Exit Poll (35), with many thanks.
To measure the overall response to the event, we sought comments about the experience of attending. Here are just a few…..

The comments and responses provided us with the confirmation and encouragement to set the date for the next event. We would like to give you advanced notice that this will be on Friday 22nd September with much more time for networking. This will be an open event where you can invite guests and put forward ventures to present. To preserve the quality of attendees and ventures there will be an element of payment as a contribution to costs for the speaking opportunity. All investors continue to come free of charge.
We were delighted that 14 Companies expressed an interest in working directly with us on future joint marketing. If this appeals to you, please contact Dermot Hill to explore the possibilities further.
The range of funds under management with those companies attending ranged from $100m to £100k and we know that over 25 separate discussions were set up at the event. We also know that by today business has actually been done as a result of meetings on the 11th.
The positive response was further endorsed by 30 people being prepared to recommend this event to a colleague (only 1 said no).
At the heart of the event’s theme was Senior Executive Talent and we had 12 executives in the room. Each one of whom has an impressive track record in venturing and spinout activity.
We now begin the quest to bring some investment ready propositions to the audience of the 22nd. If you hear of any worthy spinout and venturing opportunities please let us know. We are already identifying more senior ‘freelance’ executives to be part of this day. We would also expect to be close to the formal launch of the Power8™ Programme for Venturing & Investment.
This event has proved much to us and that it can ‘create value’ by bringing together three separate but inter-dependent communities. We have some excellent feedback and we have been learning from the Exit Polls and the feedback provided. Please keep us informed of the successes from the introductions made on the day, as these occur, and thank you for attending.
