If you have a track record of successfully building sales oriented companies, or teams, in the technology sector and also have experience of the broad office efficiency sector, or more specifically in document image management, this role offers a major career enhancing challenge.

You must have excellent communication and leadership skills as well as experience of working at board level in SMEs. Our client seeks the qualities associated with a CEO who can work as effectively with field sales as with strategy. This role would suit either a Sales Director wanting to make the move up to CEO or a serial performing CEO from within the technology sector.

Our client is a company of 50 loyal staff, with ambitious growth targets set at 100% per annum with the potential for more. It supplies office efficiency software which meets the storage requirements for compliance and government standards, enhances productivity, addresses the green agenda and also reduces costs. Products are competitively priced and sold into mainland Europe through resellers. The company has major ambitions to build sales internationally including the US. Channel sales experience is a prerequisite for this role and, as important, is proven success in delivering innovative and successful channel sale & marketing campaigns.

Director of Sales and Marketing, London, UK - Permanent

Our client is a fast growing startup, that was formed in 2003 and has consistently increased revenue every financial year and are looking for a Director of Sales and Marketing with creativity, enthusiasm, passion and drive to be successful in the position.

Reporting to the Managing Director, the role of Director of Sales and Marketing will be responsible for taking the core product and identifying suitable markets for it. You will liaise with the Technical Architect on new product requirements and manage the sales effort through forecasting, budgeting and yield management to achieve and exceed top line goals. The sales team will be small initially but it is anticipated that it will grow in the second year. A pro-active sales approach to saturate and penetrate accounts that meet the Company's quarterly goals is vital. You will be required to have a professional and effective approach towards written correspondence, proposals and bids with a demonstrable ability of follow up. Working with PR and branding agencies will be needed as appropriate.

Candidates must ideally have experience in bringing new technologies to market and knowledge and experience in writing, directing and executing marketing plans. Experience with web and/or mobile phone technologies will be a distinct advantage as well as experience of working abroad.

- Interim Procurement Director
International – Discreet Component Manufacturing
Based – UK


Our client is establishing a global production and manufacturing capability to support the company’s expansion in the electronic displays sector. Regarded as a major force in ‘market shift’ technology the company has the above role available for immediate filling.

Working at board level, this role will be expected to establish an effective procurement system which delivers effective price controls to the final product. Where possible this role will be expected to either establish or improve on the commercial terms with existing and new suppliers.

This role is likely to run for a 3 to 4 month period, with the option to extend into a second project of a similar length to establish our client as a prime supplier of volume materials licensees and joint venture partners.

The successful candidate will have established international and preferably Far Eastern supply agreements in the electronics sector.

This role will involve extensive international travel but this project is to be centred on the UK.

Our client is an establish venture in the early stages of the development of ground breaking drugs which draw on established natural medicines from around the world.

This organisation is UK based and a semi-virtual pharmaceutical development company with a low cash burn model. The primary focus is on the discovery and development of plant-derived prescription drugs for the treatment of viral and bacterial infections, metabolic diseases and cancer. The company has links with a network of partners in China including a joint venture with Chinese laboratory with expertise in the development of botanical drugs. The company owns a number of highly relevant patents and has a strong business development strategy. Its lead drug candidate has already completed a successful Phase I clinical trial.

The profile for this CEO is as follows:

  • Experienced in building successful drug discovery/development companies with expertise in the Phase I & II approvals process
  • A track record in successful licensing of drug candidates to large world wide pharmaceutical companies
  • Recognised reputation in the City of London and the ability to leverage this reputation to lead and deliver a successful fundraising

The role will entail:

  • The revision and delivery of a world-class strategy
  • Delivering a successful fund raising
  • Leading the operational delivery of the business plan

This role is initially open for an interim appointment for immediate filling and there is the preferred option to extend to permanent. This will be for the period while the company realigns with the considerable market opportunity. Sector experience is essential, interim management is not.

Development Director – Emerging Markets

Senior Executive Talent

This is a rare opportunity to join one of Europe’s most progressive senior executive talent providers delivering Western senior executive talent into a rapidly developing global market.

To achieve success we are building a Super Connectors™ programme as well as beginning the process of developing world class contacts to support the growth of this division.

The role involves working with executives in our connectors programme and with Intramezzo Directors tasked to each of the emerging markets (New Europe already appointed), each of whom will deliver contacts to the success of this venture. You will also be required to develop a plan to be agreed at board level which involves developing your own networking efforts. Specific areas for concentration include embassies and trade development agencies.

To assist, Intramezzo will support this effort by running a number of relevant events in the UK for the appropriate communities which will lead to business.

The ideal candidate will be interested in working on a shared profit basis but equity only and contingency options can also be open to discussion.

The medium term (2 – 5 year) plan, with the board’s approval, is to spin this venture out from Intramezzo, a process in which both the founding Directors and all introducers will benefit either in shares or cash.

Anticipated annualised compensation package will range between £100k - £300k depending on contribution. There is also considerable scope for the right candidate to exceed this. This business will be centred on London and with some international travel.
