Our client is a successful and well-backed electronics company which develops and manufactures ruggedized PC’s and video camera equipment.

For this role you will need to be comfortable with mobile communications technology and have successfully delivered one or a number of Chairmanships. You are likely to have extensive experience of working with funders and fund raising as well as demonstrable experience of the product and company life cycle from inception through launch to sales and market penetration and ultimately a company exit.

You will be familiar with the processes of lean manufacturing and business systems for ERP and MRP as these apply to the electronics sector and through effective planning and tracking processes be able to quickly establish a precise and controlled understanding of the organisation. You will also be familiar with effective product design, market acceptance, quality management and sales delivery techniques.

Central to this role will be the visionary skills necessary to agree and set realistic but challenging top level goals. Exceptional leadership and communication skills will be required to execute a well defined plan and address any internal barriers for change. Experience in integrating businesses and relocating manufacturing facilities would be of advantage.

The ultimate objective is to achieve a trade sale and a round of additional funding is anticipated to achieve this.

For the right candidate there is the opportunity to extend this role to a permanent appointment with an appropriate commercial package.

Director, Global Licensing – Automotive Sector (through Intramezzo’s Tagged Executive Programme®) - Equity Opportunity

The requirement is for a seasoned dealmaker with a track record in delivering revenue from global licensing. Experience in the automotive sector would be of advantage.

Our client has developed a leading edge patent pending Hybrid Turbocharger Technology (HTT) system which delivers fuel savings and emission reductions that surpass competing turbo systems. Licence revenue forecasts show cumulative potential revenues of up to £250mn achievable by 2020 and it is anticipated that the technology will be sold or licensed within the auto sector in the next 18-24 months as the testing programme successfully concludes. Three major turbo manufacturers have already suggested potential timelines for trade purchase discussions.

The company has been funded by angel investment and a further £1m is being sought, offering investors the likelihood of a lucrative trade sale within the next 2 years and an engagement in a business already active with global manufacturers.

To meet stringent legislative requirements in the US, Europe and globally, car manufacturers are now endeavouring to bring the highest efficiency lowest cost turbo systems that both reduce emissions and enable engines to be downsized into their supply chain, whilst seeking a turbo technology that eliminates the turbo-lag problems inherent with existing systems.

A prototype demonstrating very robust performance data has been so well received by the wider industry that a testing programme has been agreed to be undertaken with a global car manufacturer. There is already a separate testing programme in place with a leading construction equipment vehicle manufacturer. This is a relatively low cost system which critically brings significant benefits to diesel, petrol and hybrid vehicles.

Although our client is pursuing HTT adoption in the auto and off highway sectors initially, there is huge emissions reduction potential in other sectors, including power generation.
