Chief Operating Officer (Interim)

This is a major career enhancing role and an opportunity to join a well founded and funded Plc, active in global market of materials and coatings technology.

This COO role will involve building this R&D organisation from 15 staff with a strong academic background to 50 people. This is a 'ground up/clean sheet' opportunity.  Reporting to the CEO, this role will require a track record in working in highly technical and knowledge intensive sectors with leading edge products. Specific experience in the advanced materials or speciality chemicals sectors would be of advantage.

The role requires exceptional leadership skills, change management experience and the ability to introduce the appropriate processes to ensure that the company delivers on its client facing activity. These processes must delivery projects from concept through to commerical delivery effectively and efficiently.  Central to the delivery of this role is a sound commercial approach and the communications and leadership skills needed to deliver with style. Experience within a Plc and the governance issues involved would be an advantage.

Key Account Sales / Business Development – Scientific Materials (Interim)

This is a challenging International role with the option to convert at an early stage to permanent in the appropriate circumstances. If you have a sales track record in selling scientific solutions and or pioneering materials technology to major blue chip organisations this role could be a major career development. You must have either the experience or the ability to work internationally potentially involving extensive travel.

The company is a well founded and a well funded Plc and has a highly proficient scientific staff to support the sales effort. The appropriate candidate will be able to identify and build the commercial case to achieve high value joint ventures or technology licensing agreements. This is a high level executive sell so experience of selling at senior management and board level will be required.

Of specific advantage would be sales experience and market knowledge of the electronics sector and areas such as displays, PCBs, photovoltaic, and LEDs. However, there is considerable scope for suitable candidates who have addressed other technical markets where surface coatings which change the characteristics of the base product can be applied.

Development Director – Emerging Markets

Senior Executive Talent

This is a rare opportunity to join one of Europe’s most progressive senior executive talent providers delivering Western senior executive talent into a rapidly developing global market.

To achieve success we are building a Super Connectors™ programme as well as beginning the process of developing world class contacts to support the growth of this division.

The role involves working with executives in our connectors programme and with Intramezzo Directors tasked to each of the emerging markets (New Europe already appointed), each of whom will deliver contacts to the success of this venture. You will also be required to develop a plan to be agreed at board level which involves developing your own networking efforts. Specific areas for concentration include embassies and trade development agencies.

To assist, Intramezzo will support this effort by running a number of relevant events in the UK for the appropriate communities which will lead to business.

The ideal candidate will be interested in working on a shared profit basis but equity only and contingency options can also be open to discussion.

The medium term (2 – 5 year) plan, with the board’s approval, is to spin this venture out from Intramezzo, a process in which both the founding Directors and all introducers will benefit either in shares or cash.

Anticipated annualised compensation package will range between £100k - £300k depending on contribution. There is also considerable scope for the right candidate to exceed this. This business will be centred on London and with some international travel.
